Global Project Leader 

Position Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing between 6 to 10 New Product Development (NPD) projects, including a select few high-complexity projects. You will ensure that all team members from various functions such as R&D, Commercial, Product Supply, Regulatory, Medical, Legal, and Country functions are accountable for their project deliverables. Your role will involve guiding planning and project management according to established governance and processes, ensuring strategic alignment with the Category R&D Director and Technical Project Lead (TPL) at each stage. You will oversee risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure transparent communication with senior management and stakeholders. After successful launches, you will facilitate the handover to Commercial Leads for further rollout.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage between 6 to 10 NPD projects, focusing on a few high-complexity projects;
• Conduct GPT meetings to ensure accountability for project deliverables across all team members;
• Guide planning and project management according to established governance and processes;
• Work closely with Category R&D Director and TPL for strategic alignment at each project stage;
• Oversee risk assessments and identify barriers, developing mitigation strategies for project success;
• Escalate issues to ensure timely decisions and course corrections;
• Manage the end-to-end budget for projects, including internal and external resource costs;
• Provide transparent project communications to senior management and stakeholders;
• Collaborate with Commercial Leads for strategic alignment and execution throughout the stage and gate process;
• Ensure proper handover to Commercial Leads and launch teams after successful launches in lead markets.

WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 3 years of Project Management experience in product development;
• An international Project Management Certification is desired;
• Significant Project Management and Industry experience in Consumer Goods, Pharma, or Foods;
• Proven track record in leading individuals and teams in cross-functional international environments;
• Experience in achieving superior results as a project leader;
• Experience leading projects in a complex matrix organization is key.

Preffered Qualifications:

• 10 years, expeience or Master's with a minimum of 8 years, or Ph.D. with a minimum of 4 years of total experience (or international education equivalency);
• STEM background is desirable;

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $125,760.00 - $188,640.00Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
